Composition
Prednisolone Solution for Injection 30mg/ml
Each ml contains Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate BP
equivalent to Prednisolone 30 mg.

Indications
1. Glucocorticoid replacement therapy
2. Diseases of connective tissue
3. Asthma and other respiratory diseases
4. Diseases of the liver and gastrointestinal tract
5. Renal diseases
6. Ocular diseases
7. Blood disorders and malignancies
8. Corticosteroids are used in various neurological
disorders
Dosage and Administration
Usual adult and adolescent dose:
Intra–articular, intralesional or soft tissue injection, 2
to 30 mg of prednisolone phosphate, repeated at three – day
to three week intervals, if necessary.
Usual pediatric dose:
Adrenocortical insufficiency – Intramuscular, 140 mcg (0.14
mg)
(phosphate) per kg of body weight or 4 mg (phosphate) per
square meter of body surface a day (in three divided doses)
every third day; or 46 to 70 mcg (0.046 to 0.07 mg)
(phosphate) per kg of body weight or 1.33 to 2 mg
(phosphate) per square meter of body surface once a day.
Contraindications
Prednisolone must be used in with great caution in patients
with the following conditions.
1. Peptic ulcer
2. Osteoporosis
3. Infections
4. Diabetes mellitus
5. Psychological disturbances

Presentation
3 ampoules packed in a HIP Tray, which is further
packed in a printed primary carton along with insert
literature.
