Composition
Each hard gelatin capsule contains:
Doxycycline Hyclate B.P. equivalent to anhydrous Doxycycline : 100.00 mg.
Approved colours used in capsule shell

Indications
Pneumonia
Genito-urinary tract & other respiratory tract infections
Acne & soft tissue infections
Ophthalmic & Gastrointestinal infections

Dosage and Administration
The usual dose in adults is 200mg on the first day of treatment followed by a maintenance dose of 100mg/day. This may be given as either a single dose or divided doses administered every 12 hours.

The recommended dosage schedule for children weighing 50 kg or less, is 4 mg/kg of body weight on the first day of treatment (given as a single dose or divided into two equal doses with a 12 hour interval), followed by 2 mg/kg of body weight on subsequent days. For more severe infections up to 4 mg/kg of body weight may be used daily.

In all cases doxycycline should be administered with adequate amounts of fluid or food

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Doxycycline or any of the ingredients.
