DICLOFENAC TABLET



Composition

Each film-coated tablet contains Diclofenac Sodium IP (enteric coated) 50mg

Indications
Diclofenac is indicated in the treatment of painful rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and acute gout. Acute musculoskeletal disorders and soft tissue inflammation such as periarthritis, sprains, strains, tenosynovitis, bursitis, pain in fractures and dislocation. Relief of pain and inflammation associated with orthopaedic, dental, gynaecological and other minor surgical procedures.


Dosage and Administration
Diclofenac should be taken after meals

Adults: 1 tablet two or three times daily


Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the formulation, peptic ulcers or GI bleeding.

DICLOFENAC RETARD TABLET 100mg


Composition
Each Enteric Film Coated Tablet Contains Diclofenac sodium BP 100mg

Indications
Diclofenac retard tablets are indicated for the acute and chronic treatment of signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, pain and primary dysmenorrhea.


Dosage and Administration

Adults
The recommended initial daily dose is 100-150 mg, administered as 1 tablet of Diclofenac Retard Tablet.
In milder cases, as well as for long-term therapy, Diclogen Retard Tablet daily is usually sufficient.
Where the symptoms are most pronounced during the night or in the morning, Diclogen Retard Tablet should preferably be taken in the evening.

Children
Because of its dosage strengths, Diclofenac Retard Tablet is not suitable for children.


Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac, like other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, should not be given to patients with peptic ulcer and to patients in whom aspirin induces asthma, acute rhinitis and urticaria.

Diclofenac Sodium BP 25 mg
Benzyl Alcohol BP 4% v/v (as preservative)
Water for Injection BP q.s.

Indications
Diclofenac Solution Injection for treatment of the signs and symptoms of acute and chromic rheumatoid arthritis, astesarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
Painful post-traumatic and post-operative inflammation and swelling.
Pain following dental surgery.
Acute attacks of gout.
Painful gynaecological conditions.


Dosage and Administration

Route : Intramuscular
The recommended doses of diclofenac injection is 1 ampoule (75 mg) once daily or, if required in severe cases, twice daily, injected deep intraglutealy.

Diclofenac injection for intramuscular and should not be mixed with other injection solutions.

Diclofenac Injection should not be given more than 2 days.

Diclofenac Injection are not recommended for use in children.


Contraindications
Diclofenac Solution for Injections is contraindicated in patient who are hypersensitive to it, and in whom drugs like aspirin and other NSAIDs precipitate attacks of asthma, urticaria or acute rheumatic. It should be given to patients with peptic ulcer.

DICLOFENAC GEL


Composition
Each gram of gel contains
Diclofenac Di-ethylamine BP 1.16 %w/w equivalent to Diclofenac Sodium BP %w/w

Indications

Diclofenac Gel is indicated for a variety of conditions characterized by pain and inflammation such as osteoarthritis, post-traumatic or acute musculoskeletal disorders including bursitis, tendinitis, fibrositis, tenosynovitis, periarthritis, sprains, strains and low back pain.


Dosage and Administration
Gently rub a small amount of gel onto the skin around the painful and swollen area three or four times daily. The amount of gel needed will vary depending upon the size of the inflamed area. Diclofenac Gel should be
rubbed-in leaving no residual material on the skin.


Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the formulation. The drug is contraindicated in patients in whom aspirin and other NSAIDs induce symptoms of asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or urticaria.
